Describe what you'd like to offer or request. Be creative, honest, and descriptive — and share how you plan to pay it forward.

Keep every exchange safe and respectful

Meet in a public place when possible, bring another person if helpful, inspect items before accepting them, and stop communicating if a request feels unsafe or dishonest. For medical equipment or regulated goods, confirm suitability with a qualified organization before exchange.

Four quick steps. Every WiSh is reviewed by our team before it goes live, and we'll email you once yours is approved.

Step 1 of 4 — Let's start with the basics

✅ We can help with

  • Specific items — clothing, furniture, school supplies, baby gear
  • Time and skills — tutoring, repairs, rides, advice
  • A specific bill up to $3,000, paid directly to the provider — rent, utilities, school fees, medical or dental bills, car repairs
  • A used vehicle given directly by its owner

❌ We can't help with

  • Cash, loans, gift cards, or debt and credit card payoff
  • Buying a house, land, a business, or a new vehicle
  • Down payments, mortgages, car payments, or fundraisers
  • Bills over $3,000 (ask for one specific part instead)
  • Advertising: selling or promoting a business, product, or service

Step 2 of 4 — A few honest details

🔒 Your wish is public. Please keep it kind, and leave out phone numbers, emails, links, and very personal details (like health conditions or legal history). You don't need them to be approved.

Optional, but wishes with a clear photo tend to get a faster response. Up to a few images.

Step 3 of 4 — Where should this reach?

Tag your wish so it reaches the right pool of people — a couch is usually a city wish, a skill you can teach online might be a world wish.

Step 4 of 4 — One last thing

Optional. Every wish granted can spark another — tell recipients what you'd love to see happen next, if anything.

🔍 Every WiSh is reviewed by our team before it goes live. To keep 1to1WiSh safe and clear, we may lightly change the wording or title of your WiSh (for example, to remove personal contact details or make the request more specific) before approving it. We'll email you as soon as yours is approved.

Please know: 1to1WiSh is a way to try to connect you with someone who may be able to help. We can't promise your wish will be seen or granted, or how soon. Our volunteers review wishes, but we don't provide the gifts ourselves. If your need is urgent, please also try these free services, such as calling 211.
